(Fascicle 59) The bodhisattva's manifesting dwelling in the womb has ten events: to accomplish sentient beings of small minds and inferior understanding, not wishing them to give rise to the notion that the bodhisattva is naturally transformed into birth; to mature parents, kin, and companions of roots of goodness from past lives, and so forth, he manifests birth, smiling, and walking seven steps. Manifesting dwelling in childhood, dwelling in the royal palace, renouncing the household life and practicing austerities, proceeding to the bodhi tree, sitting at the bodhimaṇḍa, subduing Māra and becoming a Buddha, turning the wheel of Dharma, and entering parinirvāṇa, each has ten events.
