3.14

第六漸頓門。若依《雜心》及此經，二乘漸漸見諦，初見苦，乃至後見道。若依《成實》，見道前漸見四諦，見道已去頓見四諦。有人言：十解菩薩與此經同，明漸見義；十行已去與《成實》同。至經文當更釋也。

Sixth is the section on gradual and sudden. If relying on the *Saṃyuktābhidharmahṛdaya* and this sūtra, the two vehicles see the truths gradually: first seeing suffering, and finally seeing the path. If relying on the *Tattvasiddhi-śāstra*, prior to the path of seeing they see the four truths gradually, but from the path of seeing onward they see the four truths suddenly. Some say: bodhisattvas of the ten understandings are the same as this sūtra, clarifying the meaning of gradual seeing; from the ten practices onward they are the same as the *Tattvasiddhi-śāstra*. This will be explained further when reaching the sūtra text.
