「信如來」者，是第三結信利益。既言信如來，亦信勝鬘；但佛述勝鬘，故言如來耳。「不謗深義」者，既信佛所說，離闡提障，故不謗深義。

"Believing in the Tathāgata" is the third part, concluding the benefits of faith. Since it says believing in the Tathāgata, one also believes in Śrīmālā; but because the Buddha corroborated Śrīmālā, it simply says the Tathāgata. "Do not slander the profound meaning": since they believe in what the Buddha spoke, they are free from the obstruction of the icchantika, and therefore do not slander the profound meaning.
