經曰「離欲深正念」至「為諸天人師」者，述云：第二、順誓。有二：此初、略誓也。離欲、正念、淨慧、梵行者誓因，求無上尊、天人師者誓果。

The sūtra says: "Free from desire, with deep and correct mindfulness..." up to "become a teacher of gods and humans." The commentary states: The second part is the vows of positive adherence. There are two parts: this first is the concise vow. Freedom from desire, correct mindfulness, pure wisdom, and pure conduct are the causal vows; seeking the unsurpassed honored one and becoming a teacher of gods and humans are the resultant vows.
