經曰「聲聞菩薩」至「所能知也」者，述云：第二、申其眷屬。有四：此初、例顯壽量也。即天人壽無能校知願之所成也。

On the sūtra passage from "The śrāvakas and bodhisattvas" to "can know": The Commentary states: The second part sets forth his retinue. There are four parts: here in the first, he illustrates the measure of their lifespan by analogy. This is what was accomplished by the vow that no one can calculate the lifespan of devas and humans.
