經曰「佛語阿難」至「菩薩亦然」者，述云：此第四、廣顯眾多。有二：此初、總標也。初會者，偏舉不盡之言，顯無數故。

On the sūtra passage from "The Buddha said to Ānanda" to "The bodhisattvas are likewise so": The Commentary states: This fourth part extensively reveals the vastness of the assembly. There are two parts: here in the first, he generally indicates it. "The first assembly" is an inexhaustive expression singled out to reveal their countlessness.
