經曰「自然德風」至「如是六反」者，述云：此第五、德風吹鼓也。過雅者，得中之狀。芬者，方言芬和，謂芬香和調。裂者，宜作烈光也、美也，裂非字體。帛謙皆云「如是四反」。即供聖之華，故於六反無復妨也。

Regarding the sūtra saying from “natural virtuous breezes” down to “six times like this,” the commentary states: This fifth is the blowing of the virtuous breezes. “Excessively elegant” is the state of attaining the mean. As for *fen* (芬), the regional dialect says *fenhe* (芬和), meaning fragrant and well-balanced. As for *lie* (裂), it should be written as *lie* (烈), meaning radiant and splendid; *lie* (裂) is not the correct graph. Both Bai Yan and Zhi Qian say “four times like this.” Since these are flowers for making offerings to the sages, there is no objection to “six times.”
