經曰「棄國捐王」至「與世超異」者，述云：此第二、出俗修道也。沙門者，即沙門那，義如前解。帛延云曇摩迦留，即法藏也。謙去留字，云作菩薩道，即《智論》法積菩薩也。高才勇哲者，即為人性行孤出於世，故云超異。

On the passage where the sūtra states, "Renounced the kingdom and abandoned his royalty..." up to "transcending the ordinary world": The commentary states: This is, secondly, leaving secular life to cultivate the path. "Śramaṇa" is śramaṇera, the meaning of which is as explained before. Bai Yan renders it as Dharmākara, which is Dharma-treasury (法藏). Zhi Qian omits the syllable liu and says, "practicing the bodhisattva path," which is Bodhisattva Dharmākara (法積) in the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa. "High talent, courageous, and wise" means that his character and conduct uniquely surpassed the world; hence it says "transcending the ordinary world."
