On the passage where the sūtra states, "Hero among humans, a lion..." up to "shaking the great trichiliocosm": This is, fourthly, generally praising the three karmas. "Vast meritorious achievements" praises the fruit of mental karma; xun also means merit (gong). "Profound and wondrous wisdom" praises the function of mental karma. This specifically praises its superiority; it is non-exhaustive speech, briefly mentioning precepts, learning, and so on. "Radiant, awe-inspiring marks" praises the superiority of physical karma. "Shaking the great trichiliocosm" praises the voice of the Fully Enlightened One. Possessing such superior and wondrous virtues, he can indeed be called a hero among humans, a lion, whose spiritual power and virtue are immeasurable.
