2.73

經曰「布施調意」至「智慧為上」者，述云：此第二、求因。有二：此初、求自利因，即六度也。施治慳悋，故云調意。

On the passage where the sūtra states, "Giving, disciplining the mind..." up to "wisdom being supreme": The commentary states: This is, secondly, seeking the causes. There are two parts: this is the first, seeking the causes of self-benefit, which are the six perfections. Giving cures stinginess, hence it says "disciplining the mind."
