經曰「但作眾惡」至「示眾見之」者，述云：此後、別釋。有二：此初、從惡生痛燒也。作眾惡者，即五惡。入惡趣者，即五燒。被殃病者，即五痛。

The sūtra says: 'Only committing various evils...' up to 'demonstrating it for the multitude to see.' The commentary states: Afterwards, this is the specific explanation. It has two parts: here first, pain and burning arising from evil. 'Committing various evils' refers to the five evils. 'Entering the evil destinies' refers to the five burnings. 'Suffering calamity and illness' refers to the five pains.
