經曰「於是阿難」至「聲聞之眾」者，述云：此第二、阿難承命禮佛以求見也。土是所居，眾是所化，故兼之也。

On the passage from the sūtra beginning "Thereupon Ānanda" to "the assembly of śrāvakas": the commentary states: This is the second part, Ānanda receiving the command and paying homage to the Buddha in order to seek to see [him]. The land is what is inhabited, and the assembly is who is transformed; therefore both are included.
