3.66

經曰「聞甚深法」至「常能修行」者，述云：此後、解行並修也。有說：於深能解故不疑，於深能入故不懼。非也。入亦解故。今即能信深教故不疑，能解深義故不懼，進修解是也。常修行者，即進修行也。聞必修習而無間，故云常修。

The sūtra says: "Hearing the extremely profound Dharma... always able to cultivate and practice." The commentary states: This latter part is the joint cultivation of understanding and practice. Some say: because they can understand the profound, they do not doubt; because they can enter the profound, they do not fear. This is not correct, for entering is also understanding. Here, because they can have faith in the profound teaching, they do not doubt; because they can understand the profound meaning, they do not fear: this is the further cultivation of understanding. "Always cultivating and practicing" is the further cultivation of practice. Hearing it, they inevitably cultivate it without interruption; hence it says "always cultivating."
