On the passage "Attaining the Buddha-Avataṃsaka-samādhi": The commentary states: This is the fourth, the wondrous supremacy of what is accomplished. The merits of the Buddha ground can adorn the Buddha's body, hence it is called 'Buddha-Avataṃsaka' (Buddha Flower Adornment). Entering this samādhi, one visibly sees the Buddhas and Buddha-lands of all directions, and therefore it is also said that they 'attain' it. This is what the *Avataṃsaka* states: 'That one samādhi encompasses the dharma-realm; all Buddha-dharmas completely enter into it.'
