三、從阿難汝當受持下，至宣說佛語已來，正明勸持勸說此法深要好須流布。此明如來前則總告令安心聽受，此文則別勅阿難受持勿忘，廣多人處為說流行。言佛語者，此明如來曠劫已除口過，隨有言說，一切聞者自然生信。

Third, from 'Ānanda, you should accept and hold' down to 'proclaim the Buddha's words' directly clarifies encouraging them to uphold and preach this method, which is profoundly essential and must be disseminated widely. This clarifies that whereas the Tathāgata previously addressed both generally to cause them to listen and receive with settled minds, this passage specifically charges Ānanda to accept and uphold it without forgetting, and to preach and circulate it widely among many people. 'The Buddha's words' clarifies that the Tathāgata had eradicated verbal faults for countless kalpas, so whatever he said, all who heard naturally gave rise to faith.
