2.67

言作是語已者，總說前意竟也。言悲泣雨淚者，此明夫人自唯罪重，請佛加哀，致敬情深悲淚滿目。但以渴仰靈儀，復加遙禮，叩頂跱䟻，須臾未舉。

The words 'Having spoken these words' summarize the conclusion of the previous meaning. The words 'wept tears like rain' explain that the lady, considering that her own offenses were heavy, requested the Buddha to bestow pity; her feeling of deep reverence brought tears of sorrow flooding her eyes. Solely thirsting and looking up toward his spiritual countenance, she repeatedly bowed from afar, striking her forehead to the ground and lingering there, not raising it for a moment.
