Fifth, from "At that time the World-Honoured One emitted a light from between his brows" down to "enabled Vaidehī to see," it clearly shows that the World-Honoured One extensively manifested the pure lands to respond to the previous general request. This clarifies that because the World-Honoured One saw that the consort made a broad request for pure lands, the Tathāgata immediately emitted a light from between his brows to illuminate the lands of the ten directions. Gathering the lands with the light, it returned to his crown and transformed into a golden dais resembling Mount Sumeru. The word *ru* (like) means "similar to": similar to Mount Sumeru, this mountain was narrow in the middle and broad at the top, and all the buddha lands appeared within it. They were of various kinds, with differing adornments. By the Buddha's spiritual power, they were distinctly clear; blessing and protecting Vaidehī, he enabled her to see them all.
