2.84

答曰：「佛是法王，神通自在，優之與劣非凡惑所知。隱顯隨機，望存化益，或可故隱彼為優，獨顯西方為勝。」

Answer: The Buddha is the King of the Dharma, sovereign in spiritual powers; superiority and inferiority are not things that ordinary delusions can fathom. Concealing or revealing according to the capacity of beings, with the hope of conferring transforming benefits, he perhaps deliberately concealed the superiority of the others and uniquely revealed the Western land as supreme.
