Fourth, from "The light of the entire body" down to "named Mahāsthāmaprāpta," it properly explains that the light of the body extends far, illuminating and benefiting those with karmic connection, reaching other lands equally, turning everything purple-gold in color. There are eight points: first, it explains the general and specific distinctions of the body's light; second, it explains the reach of the illuminating light; third, it explains that wherever the light touches, it turns everything purple-gold; fourth, it explains that only those who have karmic connection through past actions with Mahāsthāmaprāpta can see and encounter this light; fifth, it explains that seeing only the light from a single pore allows one to see the pure and wondrous body-lights of many buddhas—this raises the few to reveal the abundant benefit, causing practitioners to long with thirst and enter contemplation to realize it; sixth, it explains establishing the name based on the light; seventh, it explains the essence and function of the light: the uncontaminated (anāsrava) is its essence, hence called the light of wisdom, and being able to extinguish the suffering of the three evil paths in the ten directions is called unsurpassed power, which is its function; eighth, it explains that being named Mahāsthāmaprāpta is establishing the name based on virtue.
