四、從命欲終時下，至生死之罪已來，正明造惡人等臨終遇善聞法。即有其六。一明命延不久。二明忽遇往生善知識。三明善人為讚眾經。四明已聞經功力除罪千劫。五明智者轉教稱念彌陀之號。六明以稱彌陀名故除罪五百萬劫。

Fourth, from "when life is about to end" down to "the sins of birth-and-death," it directly clarifies evil-doers encountering a good friend and hearing the Dharma at the end of life. This consists of six points: First, it clarifies that life does not last long. Second, it clarifies suddenly encountering a good friend of rebirth. Third, it clarifies the good person praising the various sūtras for them. Fourth, it clarifies that through the power of having heard the sūtras, sins of a thousand kalpas are eliminated. Fifth, it clarifies the wise person turning to teach them to recite the name of Amitābha. Sixth, it clarifies that by reciting Amitābha's name, sins of five million kalpas are eliminated.
