2.78

「『一一寶中有五百色光，其光如華，又似星月懸處虛空。』」眾寶色光，其光從地昇空，故如華；從上照下，故如星月。三、合此寶光以成臺閣。

"'Within each jewel there are rays of light of five hundred colours; the light is like flowers, and also like stars and the moon hanging in empty space.'" The colourful lights of the numerous jewels: the light ascends from the ground into space, hence it is "like flowers"; it shines downward from above, hence it is "like stars and the moon." Third, combining these jewel-lights to form terraces and pavilions.
