「『如此愚人以惡業故，應墮惡道，經歷多劫受苦無窮。』」隨犯一逆，阿鼻一劫，何況多犯，故經多劫。二、遇緣，二：初、知識開導；二、勝相現前。初、知識開導，四：初、說妙法；二、病苦不能；三、教修十念；四、滅罪數。初、說妙法。

"‘Because of their evil karma, such foolish persons ought to fall into the evil destinies and endure endless suffering across many kalpas.’" For committing a single heinous sin, one spends one kalpa in Avīci; how much more so for committing multiple sins? Hence they endure many kalpas. Second, encountering conditions, which has two parts: first, the good friend guides and instructs; second, superior signs appear before them. First, the good friend guides and instructs has four parts: first, expounding the wondrous Dharma; second, the inability due to painful illness; third, teaching the practice of ten recitations; fourth, the number of sins eradicated. First, expounding the wondrous Dharma.
