「『若有欲觀觀世音菩薩者，先觀頂上肉髻，次觀天冠，其餘眾相亦次第觀之，悉令明了如觀掌中。』」從上至下以為次第。四、簡邪正。

"[The Buddha said:] 'If there are those who wish to contemplate Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, they should first contemplate the uṣṇīṣa on his crown, next contemplate his heavenly headdress, and contemplate the other marks in sequence, making them all as clearly distinct as looking at the palm of one's hand.'" The sequence proceeds from top to bottom. Fourth, distinguishing correct from incorrect.
