"The Buddha addressed Ānanda and Vaidehī: 'Having seen the Buddha Amitāyus clearly and distinctly, next you should contemplate Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva.'" Second, directly setting forth the contemplation method, which has four parts: first, showing the object of contemplation; second, concluding the contemplation; third, exhorting practice; fourth, distinguishing correct from incorrect.
