經曰：「池底純以金沙布地」，次釋第三下填寶礫也。《無量壽經》即互相廁映，若黃金池者下布白銀沙，餘亦類之，其池底有紫黑栴檀沈水香泥。

The sūtra says: "The bottoms of the ponds are spread entirely with golden sand." Next, this explains the third: below, it is packed with precious gravel. In the *Sūtra of Immeasurable Life*, they intersperse and mirror each other: in a pond of yellow gold, white silver sand is spread below, and the others are analogous to this; at the bottoms of the ponds, there is purple-black sandalwood and agallochum fragrant mud.
