Question: "The virtuous practices of all Buddhas are all identical; why is Amitābha alone superior?" Answer: "The *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* says: 'The constant light of all Buddhas likewise has no difference of large or small, far or near; it is only because sentient beings' faculties have shallowness and depth, and their virtues have thickness and thinness, that the illumination and manifestation of the constant light of all Buddhas differs; yet in reality it is equal.' Therefore, the *Daśabhūmika-vibhāṣā* says: The constant light of all Buddhas cannot be limited by the number of yojanas; it fills the ten directions, and its boundaries cannot be known. Moreover, according to that, the bodily light of the bodhisattvas and śrāvakas in that land is also superior. Therefore, the *Sukhāvatīvyūha Sūtra* says: The light of the bodhisattvas of that Buddha land constantly illuminates hundreds of thousands of yojanas, while the bodily light of the śrāvakas is one fathom. The *Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā Sūtra* says: Those who wish to attain immeasurable lifespan and immeasurable light should learn the Prajñāpāramitā."
