67.6

案僧亮曰：有早計之過也。僧宗曰：第三，寄譬以遣著也。若言已有，即是執著，即是常見。若言都無，復為妄語也。智秀曰：佛以兩復次釋此問也。初一復次先破妄，後一復次設反質之難。若使乳酪是一者，酪何不在前出也。

Sengliang notes: This has the fault of premature reckoning. Sengzong says: Third, relying on a simile to dispel attachment. If one says it already exists, this is clinging and eternalism. If one says it is completely non-existent, this is again false speech. Zhixiu says: The Buddha explains this question in two rounds. The first round first refutes falsity; the second round poses a counter-questioning objection: if milk and curd were one, why does curd not emerge beforehand?
