Sengliang states: The nature of wisdom is self-illuminating; it is not illuminated by another. Baoliang states: He poses two more questions to fix its position. The first question asks why it receives the name 'heat'. The second question asks whether it is hot by its own nature or hot because of something else. The Buddha now first answers the latter question, clarifying that it is hot by its own nature.
