第三無邊承命來此，隨化從於東方而來，實則平等法身中現，故名為來。準下琉璃、放光應爾。今就化相，文別有九：一敬辭彼佛，欲來至此；二將來此處，先現瑞相；三明此處覩相驚怖；四文殊安慰；五明此眾尋言見彼；六文殊告眾「以佛力故，當見九方」；七明大眾知彼來已，如來定滅，咸皆悲歎；八明大眾以無邊身威德之力見其神變；九明無邊身量分齊，唯佛所覩，餘不能見。

Third, Boundless Body received the command and came here. Following transformation, he came from the eastern direction, but in reality he manifests within the uniform dharmakāya; therefore, it is termed 'coming'. By analogy, the lapis lazuli and the emission of light below should be the same. Now, regarding the transformation characteristics, the text has nine distinct parts: first, reverently bidding farewell to that Buddha and wishing to come here; second, about to arrive at this place, first manifesting auspicious signs; third, clarifying that [the assembly at] this place witnessed the signs and were alarmed and fearful; fourth, Mañjuśrī comforting them; fifth, clarifying that this assembly, following his words, saw them; sixth, Mañjuśrī telling the assembly, 'By the Buddha's power, you shall see the nine directions'; seventh, clarifying that after the great assembly knew they had arrived, [they realized] the Tathāgata would definitely enter extinction and all grieved and lamented; eighth, clarifying that the great assembly, by the power of the awesome virtue of Boundless Body, saw his divine transformations; ninth, clarifying that the measure and extent of Boundless Body's form could only be seen by the Buddha, and others could not see it.
