初中，文殊先為反試，語純陀言「汝謂如來是無為者」，牒其上言，如來之身即是長壽，自述其語。「若作是」下，明佛悅可。純陀答言「非獨悅我，亦悅一切」，明佛無偏。

In the first point, Mañjuśrī first conducts a reverse test, saying to Cunda: "You say that the Tathāgata is unconditioned"—taking up his earlier statement that the Tathāgata's body is of long lifespan, he reiterates his words. From "If one makes such" onward, he clarifies that the Buddha is delighted. Cunda replies: "He is not only delighted with me, but also delighted with all beings," clarifying that the Buddha is without partiality.
