第六廣明食肉過中，先舉前制；「從今不得食一切肉」下廣辯過，初先法說、次喻、後合。「是故」已下結明菩薩不食肉義，於中初明菩薩不食，「為度」已下拂權顯實，「如是」已下舉淨顯穢。

In the sixth section, explaining extensively the faults of eating meat, he first adduces the previous prohibition; from 'From now on one must not eat any meat' downward he extensively explains the faults, first stating the teaching, next giving analogies, and then applying them. From 'Therefore' downward concludes by explaining the principle that bodhisattvas do not eat meat; therein, first he explains that bodhisattvas do not eat [meat]; from 'In order to save' downward he dispels the provisional and reveals the real; from 'Such as' downward he adduces the pure to reveal the defiled.
