In individually revoking the fruit, first he explains the present truth; from "You now having encountered..." downward, he relies on the truth to revoke falsehood. In the former, "How is the Dharma castle adorned?" asks in order to initiate [the discourse]. The true Dharma of nirvāṇa resembles a mundane treasure castle; named after the metaphor, it is called the jewel castle of Dharma. From "How is this jewel castle of Dharma adorned?" downward, he explains it in response. "Endowed with diverse virtues" generally reveals the adornments. "Precepts, concentration, and wisdom are its walls and moats..." and so forth individually reveals the adornments. Precepts can ward off wrongdoing, hence they are called the wall; concentration is deep and tranquil, so it is called the moat; wisdom can illuminate and observe, so it is called the parapet. In what follows below, where he relies on the truth to revoke falsehood: "You now having encountered this, you should not grasp these false things" directly exhorts discarding falsehood. From "For example..." downward clarifies the loss in grasping falsehood, first with a metaphor and then an application. From "You all..." downward concludes with the exhortation to abandon falsehood.
