In the fourth part, Kāśyapa's humble question, he first humbles his own questioning, and from "Like a king" downward, he reveals his longing and upholding. In the former, there is first the dharma, next the metaphor, and finally the application. "Incapable of inquiring into the great ocean of wisdom" corresponds to the aforementioned learning of the practices; "the empty space of dharma-nature" corresponds to the aforementioned learning of the dharmas. The Tathāgata previously praised his excellent questioning; why does Kāśyapa humble himself as incapable? Each has its reason. What Kāśyapa asked accords with the characteristics of dharmas, so the Buddha praised it; Kāśyapa reckoned that he was only capable by relying on [the Buddha's] power, and was incapable by his own power, which is why he humbly questioned. In the subsequent longing and upholding, there is first a metaphor and next the application. From "Why?" downward is the explanation; the text is clear and can be known.
