In the fifth clause, there are four separate parts: first, the metaphor of the distress of potentiality evoking the sage; second, the metaphor of the initial practitioners not following; third, the metaphor of there being detriment in not following; fourth, the metaphor of there being benefit in following. Within the first: because evoking the sage each has a set term, it says 'seven days.' Potentiality being aroused to summon the sage is called 'beating the drum.' Evoking the sage being made manifest is called 'proclaiming an edict.' Looking up in invocation of the four persons to be their guiding masters, the meaning therefore states: 'asking whether there is a brāhmaṇa capable of serving as my master of consecration.' A master who can consecrate the crown of their mind with the Dharma is called a master of consecration. Directing one's good transformation toward them is called 'enfeoffing half the state as an aristocratic reward'; or it can also mean that the disciples will certainly guide [the state] together later, which is called rewarding them with half the state as an aristocratic title.
