就初對中，先辯魔說，文別有三：一說如來因愛受生；二明生已不為世敬；三說如來唯修布施苦行成佛，不修餘德。次明佛說但翻初句，明佛應生，非因愛欲。

In the first pair, it first analyzes Māra's teaching, in which the text has three distinct [points]: first, preaching that the Tathāgata took birth due to craving; second, clarifying that having been born, he was not revered by the world; third, preaching that the Tathāgata attained buddhahood solely through practicing giving and austerities, without cultivating other virtues. Next, clarifying the Buddha's teaching merely reverses the first phrase, clarifying that the Buddha's birth was a manifestation and not due to craving and desire.
