初中有六：一舉九部證無方等；二舉如來無量小經證無方等；三「如其有」下推方等經為調達說；四「如是等」下推為魔說，先推、後釋；五「如是言」下推他經有，道己經無；六「我經律」下妄引佛說，證是為非。

In the first [part] there are six [points]: first, adducing the nine divisions to prove the absence of the vaipulya; second, adducing the Tathāgata's immeasurable Small sūtras to prove the absence of the vaipulya; third, from "If they exist..." downward relegates the vaipulya sūtras to being spoken by Devadatta; fourth, from "Such..." downward relegates them to being spoken by Māra, first relegating and then explaining; fifth, from "Such words..." downward relegates them to existing in other sūtras, claiming they are absent from one's own sūtras; sixth, from "Our sūtras and vinaya..." downward falsely cites the Buddha's teaching, proving what is correct to be wrong.
