行中，前句斷除四見，修習淨心；後句除我，修清淨身。亦得說言初句令人證無學果，故經說言「永斷我心，入於涅槃」，後二令人修起學因。因中，前句斷除四見，修起正智；後句除我，修習淨身。雖有多義，初門應善。

Within practice, the preceding clause severs the four views and cultivates the purified mind; the latter clause eliminates the self and cultivates the purified body. One may also say that the first clause causes one to realize the fruit of non-learning, which is why the sūtra says “forever severing the mind of self, entering nirvāṇa”; while the latter two cause one to cultivate and arouse the causes of learning. Within the causes, the preceding clause severs the four views and cultivates and arouses correct wisdom; the latter clause eliminates the self and cultivates the purified body. Although there are many meanings, the first approach should be regarded as good.
