3.326

前五偈中，初四行半迦葉彰己不識真歸及歸所以，末後半偈反依昔別。前中初偈明己不知始心歸趣，次有半偈彰己不知正修所行，後之三偈明己不知究竟所成。

Among the first five verses, in the first four and a half lines Kāśyapa reveals that he does not recognize the true refuge or the reason for taking refuge, and the final half-verse turns back to rely on the distinct [Three Jewels] of the past. In the former part, the first verse explains that he himself does not know the destination of the initial mind taking refuge; next, half a verse reveals that he does not know the practice of correct cultivation; the latter three verses explain that he does not know the ultimate attainment.
