第三喻中，「如王王子」牒前類後，王牒初喻，子牒第二。「大臣亦爾」明後同前，念己於餘小臣中勝，故言「亦爾」。「菩薩」下合，如王王子及如大臣，故言「如是」。

In the third analogy, "like the king and the prince" takes up the preceding to analogize what follows: "king" takes up the first analogy, and "prince" takes up the second. "A great minister is also like this" clarifies that the latter is the same as the former: reflecting that he is superior among the other lesser ministers is why it says "is also like this." From "the bodhisattva" downward is the application: like the king, the prince, and the great minister, he therefore says "thus."
