第二段中，「欲令如來為菩薩」等明己問意，真性三歸是奇特事，能詮之教名方等經，為使如來分別奇特稱揚方等所以發問。「如來悲」下慶蒙佛答。

In the second part, 'wishing to cause the Tathāgata, for the sake of the bodhisattvas,' and so forth, explains his intention in asking: the true-nature Three Refuges are an extraordinary matter, and the teaching that can express them is named the vaipulya sūtras; he made the inquiry in order to cause the Tathāgata to differentiate this extraordinary matter and extol the vaipulya. From 'the Tathāgata's compassion' onward, he rejoices in receiving the Buddha's answer.
