第三段中，先喻、後合。喻中麁二，細分為四。麁分二者：一聲聞從邪喻、二「有善呪」下菩薩摧邪喻。細分四者：一魔行邪化喻、二「是故一切師子」已下聲聞從邪喻、三「有善呪」下菩薩摧邪喻、四「如是等獸見善呪」下所化從正喻。

In the third section, first is the analogy, and afterward the application. Within the analogy, it is broadly divided into two and finely divided into four. The broad division into two is: first, the analogy of the śrāvakas following heterodoxy; second, from "there is a master of good incantations" onward, the analogy of the bodhisattva destroying heterodoxy. The fine division into four is: first, the analogy of Māra practicing heterodox conversion; second, from "therefore, all lions" onward, the analogy of the śrāvakas following heterodoxy; third, from "there is a master of good incantations" onward, the analogy of the bodhisattva destroying heterodoxy; fourth, from "when such beasts see the master of good incantations" onward, the analogy of those being converted following orthodoxy.
