釋初段中，「有龍」喻魔，忌他勝己名「妬」，好壞他善稱「弊」，欲敗他善名「害人時」，身業惑亂名為「眼視」，口言惑亂說為「氣噓」。

In explaining the first passage: "there is a dragon" is an analogy for Māra; being jealous of another surpassing oneself is called "envious"; liking to destroy another's goodness is called "malicious"; wishing to ruin another's goodness is called "when harming people"; bodily action causing bewilderment is called "looking with eyes"; vocal speech causing bewilderment is spoken of as "blowing out breath."
