3.63

上來第一教人驗依，自下第二嘆經殊勝，令人習學降魔依正。「是大涅槃甚奇甚特」，當法正嘆。「若有聞」下寄人顯勝，於中兩句，前明信希，後明信益。

Above was the first [part], teaching people to verify the refuges. From here below is the second, praising the pre-eminence of the sūtra to cause people to practice and learn to subdue Māra and rely on the orthodox. "This Great Nirvāṇa is exceedingly extraordinary, exceedingly marvelous" directly praises the Dharma itself. From "If there are those who hear" onward reveals its pre-eminence through persons; therein are two phrases: the former clarifies the rarity of faith, and the latter clarifies the benefit of faith.
