3.88

第二信中，先勸憶持，下正明信。於中初明具德眾生能自信持，「其餘生」下明其信者能化益他，「有樂為說」正明化他，「其人聞」下明他德益，「他聞滅罪」是其益也。

In the second part on faith, it first exhorts mindfulness and retention, and below directly clarifies faith. Therein, it first clarifies that sentient beings possessing virtue are able to have faith and uphold it themselves; from "the other lives" downward clarifies that those who have faith can transform and benefit others; "rejoicing in expounding it for them" directly clarifies transforming others; from "when that person hears" downward clarifies the benefit of virtue for the other; "the other hearing it eradicates sins" is the benefit.
