3.87

自下第二嘆經殊勝，於中舉彼信謗損益以顯經勝。文別有四：一明其謗、二明其信、三明謗損、四彰信益。謗中，初明「諸惡比丘聞佛涅槃，內心不愁」，「今日」已下發言唱快，先總唱快，後出快事，「如是」下結。

From here below is the second part praising the excellence of the sūtra, within which it adduces faith and slander, harm and benefit, to reveal the superiority of the sūtra. The text is divided into four: first, clarifying the slander; second, clarifying the faith; third, clarifying the harm of slander; fourth, showing the benefit of faith. In the slander [part], it first clarifies that "all evil monks, hearing that the Buddha has entered nirvāṇa, have no sorrow in their hearts"; from "today" downward they utter words celebrating joyfully, first celebrating joyfully in general, and later detailing the joyful matters; from "such" downward concludes.
