第四段中，先舉幻喻，下約顯法，句別有三：一明佛有憂；二明實無憂，「無有真實」正明無憂，「如來已入於涅槃」等釋顯無憂，「若謂」已下約就愚、智，取、捨，得、失成佛無憂；三「有愁、無愁無能知者」總嘆顯深。

In the fourth section, it first presents the simile of illusion, and below applies it to reveal the doctrine, wherein there are three distinct clauses: 1. clarifying that the Buddha has grief; 2. clarifying that he truly has no grief—"there is nothing real" directly clarifies the lack of grief, "the Tathāgata has already entered nirvāṇa" and so forth explain and reveal the lack of grief, and from "If one considers" onward, with respect to the foolish and the wise, grasping and abandoning, gain and loss, establishes that the Buddha has no grief; 3. "Having sorrow and lacking sorrow can be known by none" broadly praises and reveals the profundity.
