第四對中，前一復次明其有信易化善人，經能攝益；後一復次明其無信難化惡人，經能強益。前復次中，初明經法能益善人，「如聾人」下明其不能利益闡提。前中先喻，次約顯法，「當知是人真菩薩」下辯定其人。

In the fourth pair, the first passage explains that the sūtra is able to gather in and benefit good people who have faith and are easy to transform; the latter passage explains that the sūtra is able to forcefully benefit evil people who lack faith and are difficult to transform. In the first passage, it first explains that the Dharma of the sūtra is able to benefit good people; from "like a deaf person" below, it explains that it is unable to benefit icchantikas. Within the former, it first gives the simile, next applies it to reveal the Dharma, and from "one should know this person is a true bodhisattva" below, it determines who this person is.
