上來正明理法資教，下嘆經勝。文有三喻：前二明能利益善人、後一彰其不益闡提。就前二中，日喻明其起因之益，先喻、後合。兩喻彰其得果之益，先喻、次合，「如法華」下指餘顯此。下明不能益闡提中，先喻、後合。

The preceding section directly explained the principle and phenomena supporting the teaching; the following praises the superiority of the sūtra. In the text there are three similes: the first two explain the ability to benefit good people; the latter one reveals that it does not benefit icchantikas. Within the first two, the simile of the sun explains the benefit of giving rise to causes, first giving the simile and then applying it. The two similes reveal the benefit of attaining the fruit, first giving the simile and next applying it; from "like the Lotus [Sūtra]" below, it points to other [texts] to reveal this one. In the section below that explains the inability to benefit icchantikas, it first gives the simile and then applies it.
