下一復次明無信人經能強益。於中，初益有道機者，「知必死」下簡去闡提。前中先喻，「良醫」喻經，「一切醫方無不通達」喻此經中具明治法，「兼復廣知無量呪術」喻經威力，力用廣多故曰無量。

The next passage explains that the sūtra is able to forcefully benefit people who lack faith. Within it, first it benefits those with the capacity for the path; from "knowing he will surely die" below, it excludes the icchantikas. Within the former, it first gives the simile: "skilled physician" is a simile for the sūtra; "there were none among all medical formulas that he had not mastered" is a simile for this sūtra completely possessing methods of treatment; "and furthermore extensively knew immeasurable incantations" is a simile for the mighty power of the sūtra, called immeasurable because its powers and functions are vast and many.
