第六純陀問「此破戒可救」以不，下佛為辯明其可救。於中初總，次別，後總。「有緣可拔」是初總也。「若被」下別，別中有三：一犯重可救、二謗法可救、三五逆可救。

Sixth, Cunda asks whether "such breaking of the precepts can be saved" or not, and below the Buddha discriminates for him, making clear that they can be saved. Within this, there is first a general statement, next specific treatments, and finally a summary. "If there are conditions, they can be pulled out" is the initial general statement. From "If one is covered..." below are the specific treatments, within which there are three: first, those who commit grave offenses can be saved; second, those who slander the Dharma can be saved; third, those who commit the five heinous sins can be saved.
